Alex joined the Office of Investments in 2017 as a Risk Specialist. In his role, he supports the market and liquidity risk management functions of the endowment.In addition, he evaluates managers for the endowment’s volatility and protection strategies. From 2013 to 2017, he was a partner at Copia Capital where he led their quantitative equity and risk efforts.   Previously, he was a quantitative analyst at 2100 Capital Group in their managed futures group.


Alex holds an MBA in Analytic Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he received the Outstanding Academic Award for highest GPA in his graduating class. He earned his BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. He is a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
