Bill O’Keefe joined X-Change Financial Access, (XFA) in 2014 as the Director of Derivatives and Customized Options to further develop XFA’s Flex and Customized Options solutions as well as other structured strategies utilizing CBOE Flex Options.
Bill became a member of the CBOE in 1987. Bill traded equity options in over 30 names. While at the CBOE, Bill was involved in the committee structure at CBOE. Bill was the Chairman of Modified Trading Systems Committee with the CBOE, in addition to participating in other CBOE Committees including The Index Committee, Allocation Committee, Equity Floor Committee and presently on the New Products Development Committee.
In 2005, Bill moved to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and worked in the 30 Year Option Pit handling Fixed Income Options. Following the two years on the CME, Bill joined Chicago based hedge fund, Blue Water Arbitrage as the Vice President of Trading. As the Vice President of Trading, Bill not only managed all trading for the fund; but also, played an integral role in establishing new methods for managing order flow.
After Blue Water Arbitrage, Bill was recruited by MF Global to completely rebuild the CBOE Floor presence as well as restructure all of the trading floor operations with his handpicked team.
Bill graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Bill is a member of the Dean’s Business Advisory Council at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Bill holds a Series 3 and Series 7 registration.
