John Angelos is Sr. Director, Markets Division and Head of North America Derivative Sales at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe), a position he has held since 2007. He began his career at Cboe promoting regulated options and futures products that could serve as alternatives to over-the-counter products for buy- and sell-side market professionals.
Angelos consults regularly with domestic and international institutional portfolio managers from investment banks, hedge funds, pension funds, investment advisors, consultants and other professional asset managers regarding market structure, product design and tactical applications to mitigate risk and economically enhance investment performance.
Prior to joining CBOE, he worked for 17 years in the institutional fixed income sales and trading area for J.P. Morgan and for Citigroup Capital Markets, where he traded Eurodollar futures and options from Chicago Mercantile Exchange’s trading floor. Angelos began his career as a Financial Analyst for Allstate Insurance Company.
He holds an MBA from Loyola Graduate School of Business with a concentration in Modern Portfolio Management Theory, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Northern Illinois University.
