John Marshall, Head of Derivatives Research, manages the New York-based team focusing on index options, single-stock options, sector options, ETFs and cross-asset research. John's team writes the longest-running single-stock options report on the Street, the Weekly Options Watch, through which they have introduced over 3,000 single-stock options ideas in collaboration with fundamental research analysts over the past 14 years. They have also published dozens of decade-long studies, including: (1) options strategies to profit from stock moves on earnings and analyst days; (2) macro relative value between equity, credit and puts; and (3) predicting the profitability of VIX and SPX hedges. John serves on the Advisory Board of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Financial Economics. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, John earned a BA in Economics from Johns Hopkins University in 1999 and an MA in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in 2001.
